In keeping with the home of the Swiss, the Hamburg Übersee Club boasted Alpine roses and bales of straw, a cute ski-slope from the creative minds of the Hamburg Top5 confectioners, music to dance to from the Bircher Brothers and DJ Sinan Mercenk, „Zürcher Geschnetzeltes“ – a Swiss food speciality and genuine Röteli cherry liqueur which combined with a crisp Amarena cherry and a mint leaf in a glass makes the perfect fundament for a tealicious drink when mixed with Heidi's Delight.

A relaxed atmosphere was to be found in the childrens room where Elke Niemann from the childrens furniture shop “de Breuyn” (stilwerk Hamburg) and her team inspired our small guests with arts and crafts, not letting themselves be distracted from the commotion the adults where making.

The highlight of this very enjoyable afternoon came in the form of yodelling contests. Courageous young and old, men and women, boys and girls who attended our tea dance joined in with great enthusiasm. Our junior winner was Anais Strauß. First place for the adults went to young Julian von Gottberg with his rhythmical freestyle yodelling, narrowly beating the other firm favourite Mr Wolpers. We wish him lots of fun on his skiing trip to Gschtad, his prize presented to him from Heidi Freiburghaus, representative from the Swiss tourist board.
