2007 saw the samova tea lounge return as guests to the Berlinale. This trade fair hosted by professional film festivals, for the European film market again met in the beautiful Martin-Gropius buildings, a short distance from Potsdamer Platz. Approximately 200 companies from 46 countries were represented. There were over 700 films on offer at over 1000 screenings in 30 cinemas and video studios.
Amidst the international "film people" our samova tea lounge, on the gallery in the heart of the historical building, was the «place to be«. People met here before and after wheeling and dealing - and in the true meaning of the saying - warmed to each other. For the exhibitors there was a very special welcome gift from the European film market team. In co-operation with samova, they recieved a delightful gift set comprising of a tin of our speciality Team Spirit and two co-branded samova tea glasses.
In our perfectly lit LED bar from roomdivision, the climax of our meet and greet get together was the reception for the Sundance festivals from the USA, founded by Robert Redford. After enjoying our tealicious cocktails, many of the international guests purchased a supply of our specialities in order to further experience the ALBERTA RODEO, or the ISTANBUL NIGHTS feeling in the comfort of their own homes.
