The beginning of samova was a pot of tea, which would later become »Apollo's Light«, and four friends with the same aim:

Find the perfect atmosphere to enhance our creativity!

We wanted somewhere unusual to meet with friends, and colleagues who shared our same mutual interests, to discuss ideas, put thoughts into action.
We wanted an inspirational enviroment.
So why not reinvent an old
tradition ? The Tea Room.
A tasty cup of tea, and a lively discussion, perfect for the mind and an enterprising spirit.

Six months later in November
2002 - samova was no longer a vision, it had become reality. Launched with an unconventional Tea Dance, in the very stately drawing rooms of the Kempinski Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg, over four hundred guests came to enjoy sampling our first samova tea and herb collection.Today, the samova Tea Dance extends far over Hamburg´s borders, with over fifteen thousand new tea fans worldwide regularly enjoying our unique atmosphere, shared with friends and family in the spirit of the Tea Rooms of the the 1920’s. Guests gather in our selected locations to enjoy good company, taste their favourite blends, and sample our new collections.
Our unique and distinctive samova design has also received great attention, winning a medal from the Art Director Club of Germany, the Red Dot Design Award from the Design Center of Nordrhein Westfalen, and the Hamburger Design Prize 2003.

Tealicious cocktails in samovas flagship store

On Sunday the 31st of August 2008, Eyck Thormann, head bar keeper of "Christiansens Bar" will mix exclusive Tealicious drinks for you, using samova specialities. You are heartily invited to our lounge, from 2pm onwards to relax and savour our delicious creations.
