Kick, Kick, Horray!
On Sunday the 7th of May 2006, the doors of
the Übersee club in Hamburg where again opened for savouring tea and dancing.
In keeping with the sport event of the year – the World Cup, our motto, was of
course, football.
The festivities of our samova dance tea
No.8 celebrated the world premiere of a new samova tea creation. Fresh as the
morning dew, our herbal/green tea mixture »Team Spirit« honoured it´s name, enchanting
our guests as a hot delicacy, or as an ice cooled cocktail with lime, cane sugar
and sometimes even sporting a splash of Premium Cachaca Nega Fulo.
With goal nets, flags from all the World Cup
countries, cushioned beer crates and potatoe salad with sausages, the ÜberseeClub was transformed into a world of it´s own.

The highlight of
our world class tea dance, was the samova table football contest. 28 teams
played against each other in order to win the samova Friendship Cup. First prize was the
original FIFA football table, which had already served for high spirits amongst
the fans. The runners up could look forward to an evenings entertainment with
two tickets for the musical “Mama Mia”, from Stage Entertainment.
Responsible for some „sweet“ team catering, were the
Top5 confectioners Hamburg, who conjured
up a magical samova arena, lots of little cakes and biscuits in the tiers, formed asspectators, not that they kept their places for very long. In order to burn
off all the excess calories and get thighs back into shape, DJ Sinan worked his
magic on the turntables and the Astra
Boys animated us to rhythmical warm up training with wellknown hits and anthems. |
