The new Tea Room culture from samova

Meet friends, exchange ideas, dance and drink tea.

samova has made reviving the traditional Tea Room culture of  the early 20th century and giving it an exceptional flair one of its concerns. In those days a tea dance was classed as one of societies highlights. With an inspirational mixture of guests, from artists, lawyers, business men, journalists and doctors to those simply born wealthy. With a cup of tea, a piece of cake and a dance old contacts were revived and new ones made whilst discussing all sorts of probable and improbable ideas.

And this is exactly what happens at samova events, with their modern awareness of life for the young and those who have remained young.

To launch samova in November 2002 the founders Esin Rager, Stefan Müller, Heinrich Paravicini and Johannes Plass held a casual tea dance in the Kempinski Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg.Using the snowball system, people could invite themselves and friends -  with the result that 400 tea fans turned up at the salon in the cosmopolitan grand hotel!

Word soon spread about the success of this event and the tea, the press became aware of samova, and voices calling for further samova tea dances and tea specialities became louder.
The circle of friends originally created by the four samova founders, now consists of more then 6000 people who have met through the samova network wanting to exchange ideas.

Should you wish to take part at a  samova tea dance or samova tea-lounge please email your address to samova.
