Extra-large tin for displaying and keeping fresh

The samova storage tin not only shows off the quality of our specialities to their best advantage, but also keeps them fresh for a long time. The environmentally friendly tinplate tins are refillable (see Refills) and 100% recyclable. This tin, specially developed for our catering customers, is slightly larger than our normal tea tin and facilitates clean filling directly at the buffet. It has a hinged lid attached to the tin, which means it cannot get lost. This storage tin, also known internally as a gastro tin, is only available online for the samova varieties that we offer exclusively in refills (because they are mainly used in the catering trade).

Die Geschichte von Maybe Baby 

Das Bedürfnis nach einer neuen, modernen Teekultur regte sich bei samova Gründerin Esin schon im Jahr 2000 mit der Geburt ihres ersten Sohnes Can. Zum Start von samova beim ersten Tanztee am 3. November 2002 entwickelte sie deshalb zehn verschiedene Teesorten, die sie selbst gerne mochte. Schnell bemerkte die junge Mutter jedoch, was in der Kollektion noch fehlte: ein Früchtetee, der Kindern und Erwachsenen auch ohne den Zusatz von Zucker oder anderen Süßungsmitteln schmeckt. Und der von Natur aus eine tiefrote Farbe hat.

The history of Straight Forward

Straight ahead! Already in the name, our black tea Straight Forward promises what awaits the lover: a tea with a strong spicy aroma and stimulating effect. No compromises, no frills, no fuss. Organic Assam is one of the ten varieties that were already part of samova's program when it was founded in November 2002. Straight Forward is a classic in two senses: in our collection and as a vintage Assam. Assam is one of the most popular black teas in the world..

Assam comes from the state of the same name in northeastern India, the humid moorland and probably the largest contiguous tea-growing region in the world. It is made from the subspecies Camelia Sinensis Assamica, which was "discovered" in the early 19th century by a Scottish adventurer among an Indian hill tribe. This plant has large, dark, fleshy leaves and thus forms the basis for strong, mostly malty teas.

Straight Forward, samova's pure Assam, comes from the finest plantation in this growing region: the Mokalbari tea garden. Unlike our black tea blend Easy Friesy, which is composed of different Assam varieties, Straight Forward is a single-vintage tea from one plantation. For a brown-golden infusion with a strong aroma and intense flavor. For tea drinkers who get straight to the point. Straight Forward. Straight Forward.

1986 erschien der Song »(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!)« der US-amerikanischen Hip-Hop-Band Beastie Boys. samova Gründerin Esin, die damals kurz vor dem Abitur stand, schloss die Kombination aus Hip-Hop-Beats und rockigen Gitarrenriffs sofort ins Herz. Das erfolgreiche Werk zählt bis heute zu den Meilensteinen des Genres. Esin wählte den Song als Paten für den gleichermaßen temperamentvollen samova Bio-Assam Straight Forward.
