Zutaten für ca. 0,5 L

4 Teaspoon(s) Maybe Baby
500 g vollreife Tomaten
1 Gemüsezwiebeln
1 Knoblauchzehe
2 Tablespoon(s) Olivenöl
1 Stückchen Ingwer
1 Teaspoon(s) Senfpulver
1 Teaspoon(s) Paprikapulver
0.5 Teaspoon(s) Currypulver
2 Gewürznelken
0.5 Teaspoon(s) Pimentkörner
0.5 Teaspoon(s) Pfefferkörner
20 g brauner Zucker
10 ml Rotweinessig
1 Teaspoon(s) Salz
Worcestershire Sauce

Preparation

  • Cooking time: 20 min

1. Maybe Baby Tee in einer kleinen Schüssel mit ca. 4 cl heißem Wasser ziehen lassen.
2. Die Tomaten gründlich waschen und in grobe Stücke schneiden. Zwiebel und Knoblauch klein schneiden.
3. In einem Topf das Olivenöl erhitzen und die Zwiebel farblos anschwitzen. Knoblauch dazu geben und ebenfalls kurz anschwitzen.
4. Tomaten und alle Gewürze dazu geben und einmal aufkochen lassen. Danach die Hitze reduzieren und 30 Minuten mit geschlossenem Deckel köcheln lassen. Ab und zu umrühren.
5. Den Inhalt in ein hohes Gefäß geben und pürieren. Dann durch ein Sieb zurück in den Topf passieren. Noch einmal kurz erhitzen und mit Zucker, Essig, Worchestershire-Sauce und evtl. noch Pfeffer und Salz abschmecken. Noch heiß in sterilisierte Gläser oder Flaschen füllen und verschließen.
6. Wer möchte, kann jetzt den Ketchup noch mit Chilisauce in Richtung Schärfe oder mit noch mehr Currypulver in Richtung Curry-Ketchup verändern.
